Crochet Hook Roll

DOWNLOAD PDF:
UK terminology
Over the years, I've kept on re-sewing crochet hook cases to accommodate new hooks and I finally got tired of it. I created this pattern in a way that I can add onto this roll if I need to make more room for new hooks.

FINISHED SIZE: 8 in / 20 cm x your choice of length

Materials:
  • Red Heart Super Saver: Aran
  • size G (4mm) crochet hook
  • yarn needle

Instructions:

ROLL
Ch 40.
R1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook, sc in each ch across. Ch 1, turn.
R2: (Ch 1 will count as first sc), skip first st, sc in FLO of each st across. Ch 1, turn.
R3: (Ch 1 will count as first sc), skip first st, sc in BLO of each st across. Ch 1, turn.
R4: Repeat R2.
R5: (Ch 1 will count as first sc), skip first st, sc in BLO of next 8 sts, [skip next st and tr in unworked front loop from 2 rounds below, sc in BLO next st, skip next st and tr in unworked front loop from 2 rounds below, sc in BLO of next 3 sts]x4, sc in BLO of next 6 sts. Ch 1, turn.
Repeat R2-5 for pattern.
To finish, repeat Rows 2-3.
Fasten off and weave in ends.
If you expand your crochet hook inventory, you can attach yarn where you last finished off and start again with the pattern to expand the roll to hold your new hooks.

TIE
Begin by leaving a tail of at least 4 in / 10 cm and ch 134. Fasten off, leaving a tail of at least 4 in / 10 cm.

Attach yarn, leaving a tail of at least 4 in / 10 cm, and sl st in each ch across. Fasten off, leaving a tail of at least 4 in / 10 cm.

Tie ends with a knot and trim the yarn ends so they are even in length. Or, if you prefer, don't tie a knot and just weave in the ends.
